Book NowWe enjoy a weekend break in lovely Leicestershire, we’ll experience the traditions of the county’s most famous export – the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie and head to tranquil Rutland Water to enjoy a sail aboard the Rutland Belle. Our base is the city of Leicester with its famous market dating back to the 13th Century, there’s also the King Richard III Visitor Centre telling the fascinating story of the king’s life, and one of the greatest archaeological detective stories

• Saturday morning sail on Rutland Water, then to Melton Mowbray for Pork Pie Making Demonstration in Ye Olde Pie Shoppe & free time in Melton
• Sunday we visit Lichfield
Day One
We head to Leicester and the afternoon is free for you to explore, head for the King Richard III Visitor Centre for some history or hit the shops and historic market to pick up a bargain
EMDay Two
Our first stop today will be Rutland Water, where we enjoy a lovely 45 minute sail, enjoy the on board commentary and keep your eyes peeled for the Ospreys. Following our cruise we head to Melton Mowbray, this lovely rural town is of course renowned for it’s Pork Pies, we enjoy a pie making demonstration in Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe and the est of the afternoon is free
B, EMDay Three
We return home with a stop off in delightful Lichfield, with its stunning Cathedral, museums and independent shops, we return to the North West for approx. 6.30pm
