Excursion 1
To Inverness this morning for free time in the Highland Capital, before taking a short drive for photos of Loch Ness. Continuing northwards then to fairy-tale Dunrobin Castle, dating back 700 years, explore the castle & extensive gardens set in a dramatic coastal setting. At 2pm on the Castle lawns see a fascinating falconry display with Golden Eagles, Falcons & other species a fabulous experience.
Excursion 2
A day out with a difference today, this morning we board the Strathspey steam train in Aviemore and enjoy a 40 minute ride through glorious Highland countryside. We disembark at Broomhill for the short journey to RSPB Osprey Centre at Loch Garten located in an ancient pine forest with signed level forest walks and plenty of birdlife and red squirrels to see. A wildlife Ranger will provide an update on the Ospreys activity and there’s every chance of watching the birds feed their young from either a webcam or viewing the nest through provided
binoculars. Our next stop is the Cairngorm National Park to meet our Reindeer herder to take us to the paddock and exhibition and feed them if you wish.
Excursion 3
It’s all about the scenery today and we start with a drive along the total length of the famous Whisky Trail - the most recognised region in the world for whisky production with 9 working distilleries. We’ll spend some time in Nairn, renowned for its white sandy beaches before continuing along the Moray Firth, to join Dolphin Spirit for a cruise into the Firth. Find out about the pods of around 190 Bottlenose dolphins and fingers crossed we’ll get to see some too.
